Our Mixed Pairs competition was played on Saturday . 12 teams took part so we were able to have 3 leagues of 4 with the top 3 and the best runner up going trough to the knock out stage .A big thanks you for all those who took part especially the members who paired up on the day .
Kath and Clive won league 3 with an outstanding performance 3 wins plus 30 , in league 1 another brilliant display by Kevin H and Alma with 3 wins plus 21 . League 2 was a much closer affair with Janet and Kevin W together with Ian and Caroline both on 2 wins plus 11
So on to the semi finals, Janet and Kevin W beat Alma and Kevin H 13/10
In the other Semi Ian and Caroline beat Kath and Clive 13/2.
The final was played in great spirit with around 15 members staying to watch, we even had a helicopter flying over, is it sky sports I heard someone say ? A well fought match between both teams , it could have gone either way, but we have to have a winner .
